Many of us love to explore North America by the open road. So many places to see, many new friends to make. We do this in our RV's. From the simple week end get away in a tent trailer or truck camper all the way up to full time living in a Class A Motorhome.

TripInspect RV was created to help you, the RV owner ensure your trip is safe and uneventful from a vehicle and personal perspective. It is the only app available to provide the following functionality:

TripInspect RV provides you with a series of lists that enable a systematic check of your towing and TOAD vehicles' condition. Each time you depart - be it from your home or campsite, use TripInspect RV to ensure everything is in order - ready to roll. You can customize every list to suit your own personal situation.

Site Departure. Use this check list to prepare your unit for moving from one site to the next. This shall ensure all items in or on your vehicles are safe and secure for transport.
Home Departure. Use this list to ensure your domicile shall survive your absence.
Personal. This check list will remind you of all the other things needed before you depart on your road trip.

Formal Trip Inspection Definition

"The purpose of daily vehicle inspection is to ensure the early identification of vehicle problems and defects before the vehicle is operated on the highway. Inspections prevent the operation of a vehicle with conditions that are likely to cause or contribute to the severity of an accident."

This is where the Formal Inspection helps. It is modeled after the Commercial Vehicle Inspection that is required on a daily basis by CMV (commercial motor vehicle) truck drivers. It itemizes each aspect of a proper vehicle / trailer inspection. When the inspection is completed, you are asked to provide the vehicle odometer and sign the document. These documents (PDF files) are saved and stored (both on the mobile device and off-line). Completed Inspections are emailed to whomever you specify as a recipient (usually your own email address) . Note: Some jurisdictions may "require" that you keep and produce a current copy of this formal inspection (last inspection performed).

Preventative Maintenance Schedules

Responsible vehicle owners regularly perform scheduled maintenance and inspections based on the manufacturers recommendations. TripInspect RV provides you with reminders based on your service interval schedules. This works with the odometer reading you provide each time you do a formal trip inspection.

Customization

TripInspect RV is provided pre-loaded with generic lists to suit many common users. You are however, free to add, edit and remove any inspection items as you see fit - customize each list to suit your particular needs.

Stock Images

TripInspect RV is delivered pre-loaded with basic images of each vehicle / trailer type. Take a picture of your unit(s) with your device and replace the generic stock photos.

About Permissions:

GPS Precise Location: TripInspect comes with a database of over 40,000 locations in North America (this is actually the largest part of the application). With GPS ON during a formal inspection, the app looks up the current GPS in the database and returns the closest location found. GPS is not used for any other purpose.

Read Contacts: TripInspect uses and displays your contact list (emails) to define who you would like to send a copy of the completed inspection to. Your selection(s) are stored on your device and are NOT transmitted or used in any other way.

Camera: The camera is used to take a picture of your unit(s). Pictures are saved to the device database for the unit you specify.

TripInspect RV does not collect any data from you in any fashion - except as a default recipient of PDF completed Inspection reports (for testing purposes only). You can remove (delete) this default recipient at any time.
